Lisa Carrino Co-director of Pompanuck Farm, artist and educator, was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y where she grew up during exciting times of change. In the mid 1960's her parents bought an old falling down farmhouse in Cambridge, NY. While working on and living in it, she fell in love with the place and the people of the area. Lisa earned a B.F.A. in Sculpture at The Rhode Island School of Design, studied European pastry making at Johnson and Wales Culinary Institute and was an independent designer for the fashion/dancewear industry in NYC. She began a family and became a licensed massage therapist while living in Connecticut and then moved back home to Cambridge with her husband Scott and children Nico, Luke, and Chiara. For many years, Lisa has taught adults, and children of all ages in a wide range of subjects including dance, visual arts, and humanities. She is presently excited about designing programs for children, teens, and families that are being offered at Pompanuck and about meeting the many wonderful people who make their way here.

Scott Carrino Co-director of Pompanuck Farm and tai ji instructor, earned a BA in Literature (Hofstra University, 1980), a Massage Therapy License, (CCMT, 1986) and has been cultivating Tai Ji learning and an understanding of human consciousness since 1976. He has been a publisher and editor, community activist, an environmental lobbyist, a Rock and Roll stagehand supervisor, a NYC theatre set designer and technician and has designed lighting for dance, music, and performance arts. He has been a designer and builder of conventional and alternative houses and is an avid organic gardener. He is a singer/songwriter and has performed in coffee houses, cafes, and events with his many musical friends. For the past 22 years Scott has been a Tai Ji teacher/mentor and an explorer of conscious relationships and sustainability using the Tao as his inspiration. He has made many mistakes and learned much over the years and continues to unfold and in his relationships with his life partner, Lisa, and their two daughters and son. As a founding member of Pompanuck Farm, he is committed to living a joyous, honest, creative and transparent life.

MATT KENT, master teacher and choreographer has collaborated with Pilobolus since 1996 and in that time he has created dozens of new Pilobolus pieces, performed around the globe on stage, in T.V. and film, including "Last Dance, " the full length film documenting the Pilobolean creative process, Sixty Minutes, the Today Show, Live with Regis and most recently the Academy Awards.  He has since become a creative associate and project manager for the company, creating pieces for Pilobolus Creative Services.  He is also the director of Pickle Shoes which has created new works for family symphonic experiences such as "Peter and the Wolf" and "Babar: the Story of the Little Elephant."  PickleShoes has toured internationally and performed repeatedly at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall as part of the Center's Great Performers Series.  The company has choreographed for the ASO's Music DVD "Songs in the Key of Life." Matt Kent has designed and taught the curriculum for short and long term residencies for Pilobolus including this year's Adult Summer Camp in Connecticut.

EMILY MILAM KENT began studying traditional ballet as a young girl. In college she soon discovered a talent for modern dance, and shortly after graduating Magna Cum Laude in Dance Education, she began collaborating with the Emmy winning Pilobolus Dance Theater. With Pilobolus she has filmed a European Opel car commercial in Hollywood using acrobatic wires ala Crouching Tiger.  She has been photographed for company calendars and books including Pilobolus's The Human Alphabet and Twisted Yoga. Emily has choreographed and performed for corporate events such as Proctor and Gamble's National Product Launch in New York, Europe's IFA convention, Mailboxes Etc. launch in Las Vegas, and Phocus Wright's annual convention in L.A., and more.  Emily performed as a dancer for the 79th Annual Academy Awards this year with Pilobolus Dance theatre.
Emily tours with Pilobolus Too, a duet configuration of Pilobolus and works intimately with the Pilobolus Institute. She has created original works for high school and university dance companies for Pilobolus and as an individual artist. She has set classic Pilobolus repertoire on high school and university students; she and her partner Matt Kent, were the first to have the process notated by a Laban Notator. She is also the head teacher for several recurring Pilobolus projects such as Movin', the Greater Hartford Arts Academy, the After School Arts Program, and others. In her home town, she works with a division of the Woodruff Arts Center, Young Audiences of Atlanta, to bring dance into schools in and around Atlanta. Most recently is the ten week SmARTstART program in which she worked with Pulitzer Prize winning author and kindergarten teacher Maggie Edson to bring literacy to inner city schools through movement and dance.
Emily has been commissioned by the Boston Celebrity Series to choreograph Family Musik programs with Rob Kapilow, composer/conductor, of NPR's "What Makes It Great" series. The first, Peter and the Wolf, has played at Lincoln Center, the University of Iowa and with the Atlanta, Toronto and Vancouver Symphonies. The second, Fairy Tales, began its tour in 2006 at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall.
