Different than western massage, the ancient Thai
method uses point pressure, muscle stretching and compression for a deep
form of bodywork that targets the body’s energy lines much like shiatsu or
acupressure.
The
therapist employs not only the hands to free tension — the feet, forearms,
knees, and elbows are used as well. Thai bodywork is performed on a floor
mat, allowing for the recipient to be moved into gentle stretching yoga
postures.
You
will leave a Thai bodywork session
with a feeling of length and deep relaxation
in the body.
The work is done fully clothed and no oils are
required.
